1. About Us
We are Reef Commerce & Technology Ltd, trading as The Good Gift (“we”, “us”, “our”). We sell curated gift boxes and related products through our website. These Terms govern all purchases made by consumers and business customers in the United Kingdom.
By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
2. How the Contract Is Formed
- When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This acknowledges receipt but does not guarantee acceptance.
- A binding contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation email.
- We may decline orders if products are out of stock, there are pricing or description errors, or if we suspect misuse or fraud.
3. Products & Descriptions
- All items are sold subject to availability.
- Images are for illustrative purposes; colours, packaging or minor details may vary.
- Gift boxes may contain perishable goods, alcohol, and allergens. Full ingredient and allergen information is provided on product packaging.
- You are responsible for checking allergen information before consumption.
4. Alcohol Sales
Where a gift box contains alcohol:
- You must be 18 or over to purchase.
- By placing an order, you confirm you are legally old enough.
- We may request age verification before dispatch or on delivery.
5. Pricing & Payment
- Prices include VAT where applicable.
- Payment is taken at checkout via Shopify Payments (accepting the payment methods supported by Shopify).
- If a pricing error is discovered, we may cancel the order before dispatch.
6. Delivery
- We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only.
- Standard delivery: 3–5 working days from dispatch.
- Delivery is via Royal Mail or an alternative equivalent courier.
- Ownership of goods passes to you once full payment is received.
- Risk passes upon delivery to the address provided.
- We reserve the right to amend couriers and delivery times according to availability. We will endeavour to update you on any material changes to the timing of your delivery and will always prioritise meeting the delivery promise at the time of your order.
7. Your Right to Cancel (Consumers Only)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers have a right to cancel within 14 days of receiving their order for most goods.
However, this right does NOT apply to:
- Perishable goods (e.g., food items likely to deteriorate).
- Personalised items (e.g., customised items).
- Any food items once they have been opened or unsealed.
If your order contains a mix of items, only the eligible items may be returned.
To exercise the right to cancel, you can email us at hello@thegoodgift.co.uk within 14 days of receiving the goods.
You must return the items within a further 14 days, unused and in their original condition.
Refunds will be made within 14 days of receiving your return.
Return postage costs are your responsibility unless the item is faulty.
8. Returns & Refunds
8.1 Consumers
You may return eligible items under the cancellation rights above.
We may reduce the refund if the value of the goods has been diminished through handling beyond what is necessary to inspect them.
8.2 Faulty or Misdescribed Goods
If the goods are faulty or not as described, you have the legal right to:
- Reject within 30 days for a full refund; or
- Request a repair or replacement thereafter.
We cover return costs for faulty goods.
8.3 Business Customers (B2B)
Unless goods are faulty, we do not offer returns or cancellations for business orders. This does not affect your statutory rights regarding faulty goods.
9. Customised Items
Customised postcards or other personalised elements are produced specifically for you. These cannot be cancelled, refunded or changed once the order is placed, unless faulty.
10. Perishable Items
Food items and other perishables must be stored as directed. We are not liable for deterioration caused by improper storage or delayed collection of deliveries.
11. User Accounts

- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
We may suspend access if we believe these terms are breached.
14. Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our control, including strikes, extreme weather, courier disruption, or supply chain delays.
If this affects your order, we will notify you and take reasonable steps to minimise the impact.
15. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any rights you have under consumer law
Otherwise, we are not liable for:
- Losses not caused by our breach
- Business losses, including lost profits or data
- Any indirect or consequential losses
For business customers, our total liability is limited to the price paid for the goods.

17. Governing Law
These Terms and any disputes arising in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
